MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AWARDS 2nd EDITION 2018-2019

The French Environment and Energy Management Agency organizes, in conjunction with the Union for the Mediterranean, Plan Bleu and the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories, the 2nd edition of the Mediterranean Climate Change Adaptation Awards.

The French Environment and Energy Management Agency organizes, in conjunction with the Union for the Mediterranean, Plan Bleu and the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories, the 2nd edition of the Mediterranean Climate Change Adaptation Awards.

This competition rewards specific actions developed to adapt the regions of the Mediterranean basin to deal with climate change, which constitutes a clear challenge for the area’s ecosystems and economies. The competition is open to both public and private stakeholders advancing actions to tackle this task. These actions can involve infrastructure-related approaches, measures linked to ecosystem services, or non-structural approaches, such as ones aimed at raising awareness and promoting governmental changes. Key Competition Dates

Opening date: 22 November 2018. Application deadline: 20 March 2019. Meeting of juries: March 2019. Finalists’ presentations: April 2019. Awards Ceremony: end of May. ECCA 2019 (Lisbon – Portugal) or end of June. Sommet des deux rives (Marseille – France).
