Accelerating development of the ocean energy sector requires some degree of sharing experience and information. But fostering competitive European companies in the emerging supply chain requires intellectual property and some confidentiality. In order to attract investors while protecting intellectual property, the optimal balance between open data and confidentiality must be found.
