Abstract

A lithium ion battery, using a poly(acrylonitrile) PAN-based polymer electrolyte, a graphite film anode and a chromium-stabilized manganese spinel film cathode has been fabricated by the direct lamination of the components. The characteristics and the performance of this new type of plastic rechargeable power source are here presented and discussed.
