EJP SOIL organizes the Annual Science Days and their 5th general meeting in Vilnius – Lithuania. The event will run from 10 to 14 June and is open to a broad audience.
The scope of the event is how to make the EJP SOIL results sustainable, accessible, and to make them spread over into initiatives and policymaking. What are the messages to the EJP SOIL stakeholders?
EJP SOIL is a European Joint Programme Cofund on Agricultural Soil Management contributing to key societal challenges including climate change and future food supply. It targets climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainable agricultural production, ecosystem services and restoration and prevention of land and soil degradation.
ENEA participates in EJP SOIL and as partner in SOMMIT, MINOTAUR, ARTEMIS, SERENA projects. More info in the book of abstracts.
During the Conference, there will be the oral presentation of DELISOIL project - Delivering safe, sustainable, tailored & socially accepted soil improvers from circular food production processes for boosting soil health. At the end of the meeting, on Friday 14 at 9:00-13:00 CET, there will be the Final Event of SOMMIT project which included the participation of ENEA as a partner (responsible person Annamaria Bevivino). The SOMMIT goal was that evaluate trade-offs and synergies between soil C sequestration, nitrous oxide, methane and nitrate losses as affected by soil management options aimed at increasing soil C storage.
