Next week, 27-28 May, ENEA will host the  Annual Consortium Meeting of the EU  DELISOIL project: Delivering safe, sustainable, tailored and societally accepted soil improvers from circular food production processes for boosting soil health.

The aim of the project is to transform food industry byproducts into safe, sustainable, and tailored soil improvers by harnessing a circular approach. The project will contribute to improving soil health and productivity, supporting the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and the Farm to Fork Strategy, as well as other Circular and Bioeconomy Strategies and Plans. DELISOIL consortium is composed of 14 partners including academia, industry, and government from 10 countries in strict connection with other EU-funded projects, the European Soil Observatory and others, to support the EU Mission.

The meeting is organized by ENEA and will be held in hybrid format at the Casaccia Research center, Building F83. During the two-day meeting, there will be presentations, meetings and discussions, General Assembly meeting and the visit to ENEA laboratories and facilities. The highlight will be the presentation of the current state and the work performed during the first year of activity, with a focus on the next steps at the end of each WP session.

Annamaria Bevivino, as leader of WP2, will present the results obtained in the first year of activity and, together with the Coordinator, will guide the discussion and final remarks at the end of each working day.
